Joyce Lim Skin & Laser Clinic

My son had a bad eczema flare up last week and we brought him to Dr Lim. She was very experienced and gave him both oral and creams. The flare went down within 1.5 days. She was detailed with her examination and my son was very comfortable with her. She explained that we need to continue to work to the roots to get rid of the eczema and share with us that it is a long process. Charges were reasonable and the products were original. The nurses were friendly and helpful and we had a fantastic experience. Highly recommended.

I don't normally write reviews, but doing this to hopefully help parents. Do not bring babies/kids. Brought my 2 yr old because her online website misleadingly showed her as a skin doctor for kids. When we reached her office, there were no photos of babies/kids. But the worst thing is she misdiagnosed my daughter's skin issue as eczema. The cream she gave made the rash flare up. The doctor was also very awkward with my toddler, so it was obvious she does not know how to handle kids. She charged close to $400 for a barely 10 minute consultation with wrong medicine. Her assistants tried to push for other items like adult shampoo. They thought I was the patient. Very unprofessional. Anyway went to a different doctor who diagnosed it correctly as bacterial in nature and gave the correct medicine.

Bought a cream around 80ish sgd that apparently need to use finish immediately… I did not know nor remember being informed (disclaim: could also be I forgot), resulting in it turning color as shown in pictures (hence if you buy cream from them, remember to use fast despite expiry is long later)… I messaged them and they allowed exchange. Headed down but on the spot, another staff told me no exchange.. luckily text messages have proof of another staff allowing exchange so I got an exchange… Decided to give a review after awhile cause technically after few hundreds (can’t rmb how much) spent, had one laser treatment and another one follow up >>> it did not resolved my problem of scar / raised scar … but I also did not want to go again despite being promised of “free follow up if issue not resolved”. This is because my problem has persists despite multiple laser elsewhere (before going to them) too… leap of faith in their laser but now I simply understand whatever laser which clinic offer, simply can’t flatten my raised scar issue. Dr joyce is nice. Staff are responsive. Issue not solve. Cream hmmmm Hence 3 stars.

Endured Dr. Joyce Lim's waiting game for three years—30 minutes being the norm, until today's one-hour wait prompted this honest review. Had to hunt down her staff just to confirm she hadn't forgotten me. Spent a mere 5 minutes with her, receiving the same old "you're still young, acne till xx age" spiel, the same prescriptions, and the same disinterest. The cherry on top? A hefty bill (mind you, her consultation alone is $130!) and the irony of patients arriving AFTER me being attended to first. Which begs the question of why bother setting a time for an appointment. Time to part ways after three years.

Dr Lim is a very knowledgeable, honest and experienced dermatologist. She is also extremely kind, caring and responsive. Dr Lim has been looking after my skin for many years and has absolutely changed the quality of my skin for the better. I have recommended Dr Lim to friends and family and they think very highly of her too. We all trust her and appreciate how she has helped us. My quality of life has definitely improved after seeing Dr Lim. She is a really good dermatologist, and a lovely, considerate person.
